Learn How to Make pSEO Content that Ranks
What makes a good webpage? One you’d like to stick around and read. That’s basically what we’re trying to solve when we’re making programmatic SEO pages. We want to create genuinely useful content, and avoid being flagged as spammers.
In this post I walk through what I consider to be the essential elements for any pSEO generated page, (AI or scripted).

Programmatic SEO Essentials
The Anatomy of a good pSEO Page

Essentials of a Programmatic SEO Page
Title + H1 Tags
Probably the most crucial thing to nail on your pages. Make sure the <h1>
tags
H2 Tags
I try to include at least 3 sections in each page I generate, making sure that the <h2>
tags contain keywords relating to the niche target, but also don’t make the page an ugly pig to look at for the humans which end up there.
2+ Unique Images with Alt Tags
Now that generating decent images with AI is accessible to all of us, there’s no excuse not to generate at least 2 custom & relevant images per individual pseo page. I make sure to keep them lean, (400px wide), and put them through Kraken so that they are fast to load.
It’s also essential that you add alt
attributes to each image. Again, use your relevant keywords here, ideally getting AI to describe the image (so that the Alt tags are still useful for those accessing your site via screen readers).
Bonus points for using relevant keywords in the image filenames.
Mixture of Content Elements (P, UL, etc.)
I like to use a mixture of content elements so that the page is more readable and interesting to the viewer (and Goog). I use:
<p>
<h2>
<ul>
and<ol>
<img>
<blockquote>
<code>
OG Tags
This is more an SEO must-have, but I always make sure my OG meta tags are optimised!
CTA
Lastly, what’s the use of these pages if they’re not driving actions. Make sure to inject a relevant CTA at least once in your pSEO pages.

For Google or for Human?
We web entrepreneurs can get lost down so many different rabbit holes. SEO, and indeed programmatic SEO is one of them.
When I’m deciding what pSEO project to undertake, the key for me is to remember the human.
- Who’s going to end up on this page (hopefully)?
- What are they trying to find/solve/learn?
- What are they expecting, searching for a term like this?
… if we make pages that genuinely address these points, Google will probably like them. Moreover, when search engines do send traffic to your page, they’ll see that the user stuck around a bit, which is a good ranking signal.
So the TL;DR; here is:
Build actually useful/interesting/good pSEO pages, with intent
