Build a service with an AI delivery engine

You do not need to invent an AI business.

You may only need to deliver a normal service faster.

People already pay for:

  • Email writing
  • Content repurposing
  • Lead research
  • Bookkeeping
  • Reporting
  • Proposal writing

The buyer does not care that AI helped.

They care that the work is handled, consistent, and good.

That is the business model.

The profit signal

Signal strength: 9/10

Buyer pain: clear

Build difficulty: low to medium

Monetization: monthly service, then productized delivery

Risk: generic AI output gets cancelled quickly

The mistake is selling this:

I build AI systems for businesses.

Try this:

I write four LinkedIn posts a week for B2B founders, using their ideas, examples, and point of view.

The first offer is familiar.

AI is your delivery engine.

The 80/20 service audit

Pick a service and split the work into two parts.

80%: repeatable production work AI can assist with
20%: judgement, editing, taste, context, and client decisions

For a content service:

80%: research, idea generation, first drafts, formatting, repurposing
20%: voice, accuracy, what to leave out, final edit, publishing judgement

For a reporting service:

80%: collect numbers, compare periods, spot changes, draft the report
20%: choose what matters, explain the cause, recommend the next move

That 20% is not a problem to hide.

It is why the client keeps paying you instead of opening a chatbot.

Choose your service

Score each idea from 1 to 5:

  • I can already do the work
  • People ask me for it
  • A buyer can see the result
  • AI can assist with most of the delivery
  • I can find 15 possible buyers this week

Pick the highest-scoring service.

Do not pick the service with the most impressive technology.

Pick the one you can explain and deliver.

Use this prompt

You are helping me design an AI-assisted service business.

Service I am considering:
[DESCRIBE THE SERVICE]

Potential buyer:
[DESCRIBE THE BUYER]

Analyse the service and return:
1. The finished outcome the buyer receives
2. The repeatable delivery steps AI can assist with
3. The judgement-heavy steps I must keep human
4. Inputs needed from the client
5. Quality checklist
6. A small paid pilot I can deliver in seven days
7. Ten types of buyers to contact
8. A simple monthly offer

Rules:
- Sell the finished service, not access to a tool.
- Do not invent proof, clients, or results.
- Keep the pilot small enough to deliver manually.
- Mark any step that needs fact checking or client approval.

How this turns into money

Start with a service people already budget for.

Price it against the service, not the AI subscription.

Then build the delivery system behind it:

  • Client context file
  • Examples of good work
  • Repeatable production prompt
  • Quality checklist
  • Human review step
  • Fixed delivery schedule

The client buys the result.

You keep the margin created by a faster delivery process.

Your 60-minute test

Write down three services you could deliver.

Score each one with the five questions above.

Choose one.

Find 15 businesses that visibly need it.

Write this message:

I am testing a small [SERVICE] offer for [TYPE OF BUSINESS]. I would handle [OUTCOME] each month using your existing examples and rules. Could I show you a sample built from your public material and ask whether it would be useful?

Do not build the full system yet.

Get one person to say yes to the result first.
